Breydon Stangeland

...

Breydon Stangeland joined Petrotranz in March 2013 as a Technical Solutions Analyst. Since then, he has become Petrotranz' Product Owner and Manager overseeing the success of design and collaboration with development. Breydon is also responsible for the Customer Solutions team at Petrotranz, which supports our product analytics, design and research team members.

Prior to joining the team, Breydon studied Visual Communications Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar - where he worked with various design firms and technology companies building their customer facing experiences. Breydon has been successful in leveraging this education towards improving the look and feel our Petrotranz solutions and future direction and strategy.

Deena Efthimiadis

Deena Efthimiadis was the first individual to complete the Petrotranz internship program in the summer of 2015 while she worked towards achieving her diploma in Criminal Justice – Policing; from Lethbridge College. Upon successfully completing her education, Deena made the decision to rejoin the Petrotranz team in 2016 as a member of the Customer Experience Team where she continues to flourish and bring immense value to both the Petrotranz organization and customers.

Now as she pushes to take her experience to the next level, she is also enjoying exploring new areas where she can provide meaningful impact. Taking interest in cultivating an empowering company culture and team dynamic, always striving to ensure the team is feeling balanced and fulfilled.

Outside of work Deena enjoys spending time with family and friends, finding any excuse to be outdoors. During the warmer months she can often be found camping, kayaking, hiking, and gardening while always accompanied by her dog.

Ashleigh Wood

Ashleigh joined Petrotranz in 2017 as a member of the Customer Experience Team. In her role, Ashleigh enjoys collaborating with customers to deliver value that creates impactful experiences. Ashleigh strives to build purposeful relationships, rooted in empathy, with each one of our customers. While working at Petrotranz, Ashleigh’s curiosity has helped build her knowledge of the oil and gas industry. She approaches every aspect of her role with positivity and enthusiasm!

Ashleigh graduated from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology's Business Marketing Program and brings 6 years of experience in both the hospitality and sales industries. Ashleigh enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends!

Liam McDermott

Liam McDermott has been with Petrotranz since the early heydays of 2013 when he joined in a customer support capacity. Over the years since, Liam has grown and evolved into a lead role for Customer Engagement as a core member of the Customer Success Team. Liam shares a responsibility to engage and manage all of the industry relationships, keeping his finger on the pulse of needs and challenges our industry might be facing.

Liam graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia with a BA in Economics which serves him well when it comes to bringing an analytical mind to understanding and then ultimately solving, problems for Petrotranz customers. When not bleeding the Petrotranz blue, Liam enjoys playing tennis, squash, hockey and golf. Most recently he even joined a book club.

John Baisley

John Baisley joined the Petrotranz team in May 2017 as Technical Operations Manager. John has over 20 years of oil and gas industry experience starting as a developer with a Natural Gas ETRM solution provider. An acquisition in 2007 provided John the opportunity to learn new programming languages and an introduction to oil marketing. With a passion for customer relations, John was driven to pursue a move to business services where he further developed the skills required to join the Petrotranz team.

Since joining, he has transitioned from Technical Operations to become Data Manager, overseeing the design and development of APIs, Web Services and promoting API awareness, while still maintaining and fostering new technical relationships with customers and vendors.

In his spare time John enjoys cycling, camping, kayaking, volunteering, checking out the local music scene and experiencing new food with friends.

Dylan Amirault

Dylan Amirault joined Petrotranz in May 2017 and has since evolved past the role he was hired for. He now sits as an Analyst under the Customer Solutions team, adding his skills and expertise to our Product Design and Analytics Processes and Practices.

Before joining Petrotranz, he completed his studies at the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria with a specialization in entrepreneurship. As well Dylan brings his past oil and gas experience in the marketing and business development space with Secure Energy Services, to help create value for Petrotranz.

When not working, you’ll find Dylan skiing in the mountains or researching the next recipe to cook at home.

Dean Brennan

...

Dean Brennan joined the Petrotranz team in July of 2021 as a Senior Software Architect. Dean brings with him over 15 years of research and development experience as a developer, architect, and project lead. Dean will use this experience to help push the team forward on new ventures.

Dean lives in a perpetual "fast-forward" mode, he chases an idea and with the help of his team, it snowballs quickly into something more. He’s been blessed in his career to work with talented individuals and Petrotranz has provided an insanely talented group to partner with.

Prior to joining Petrotranz Dean has worked on ground-breaking projects spanning a myriad of industries and problems. He is best known for his work with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) where he’s applied the tracking technology to retail, cattle industry, and even oil and gas. His seminal paper "Real-Time Location System using Passive UHF RFID" published in IEEE in April of 2014 makes him an internationally renowned leader in the field. In addition, he’s lead the RFID Application Development Lad for Applied Research and Innovation Services at SAIT during its major Cattle RFID project. Later his work with FGL Sports, Canadian Tire and Lululemon saw him construct massive retail applications using RFID technology.

He has built systems that leverage tracking solutions in several mediums, massive data analytic engines, distributed systems, big data, machine learning, augmented reality, and tangible interactive technologies to name a few.

Amanda Gentile

...

Taking on a new career challenge, Amanda joined the Petrotranz Team in 2017 as the Director, Customer Success. Her most recent position held within the Calgary Energy sector was that of Senior Crude Oil Marketing Representative with Pengrowth Energy Inc. Ms. Gentiles 7.5 years of producer commercial marketing experience with Pengrowth, along with her 15 plus years within the oil & gas industry at large, are being parlayed into the newly structured Business Development team at Petrotranz. She has broad experience in energy marketing & risk management.

During her career in Calgary, Amanda has worked for some well-recognized organisations ranging from Cargill, Enbridge Inc., Provident Energy and Pengrowth Energy Inc. During her time with these organisations, she has developed a very wide-ranging skill set which includes: Risk Control, Analytics, Logistics and Marketing for Crude Oil.

Amanda has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Montana.

Scott Wilson

Mr. Wilson joined Petrotranz in 2015 as a Senior Development analyst. Since then, he has moved into the role of Director, Development, continuing to push the Petrotranz platform forward through technical innovation.

Prior to joining the team, Mr. Wilson worked at a technology start-up related to crypto-currencies for two years. Mr. Wilson has further history in the development realm as a Developer with Pandell Technology from 2006 to 2013 where he worked on many different Oil & Gas software solutions including the Petrotranz Crude Oil Transportation System ("COTS") as a contracted resource. Further to that role, he was responsible for working on various software solutions, from data conversions to accounting applications.

Mr. Wilson graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelors of Management and a degree in Information Systems in 2004.

Igor Kostenko

Igor Kostenko joined the Petrotranz Team in July of 2020 as a Quality Assurance Engineer with a primary focus towards testing automation.

With more than 15 years of experience in the technology sector, predominantly in the Quality Assurance space, Igor has developed his skills and capabilities through a variety of industries. Prior to joining Petrotranz, Igor spent time working with some notable organizations such as Benevity, Microsoft, Conduit, FLYHT and IronSource.

In his free time, Igor enjoys spending time staying active, biking and skiing and having some quality time with his family and friends. Even after three years in Calgary, he is still adjusting to our Chinook phenomena.

Stas Tserkovny

Stas Tserkovny joined the Petrotranz team in July 2021 as a Software Developer. After Acquiring a BSc. In Software Engineering from the University of Calgary, Stas worked at several software companies, providing solutions to the Oil & Gas sector, helping deliver quality software for more than 7 years.

In addition to his professional work, he is also the creator of the open-source project implementing The Burning Wheel game system for Foundry Virtual Tabletop, a tool for helping people enjoy tabletop role-playing games online.

In his free time, Stas enjoys video games, tabletop role-playing games, and golf.

Kartik Gupta

Kartik joined Petrotranz in 2021 as Senior Product Designer and brings his user-centric mindset and methods to build industry-leading software products. He is passionate about crafting experiences that solve customers' pain-points and unmet needs.

Prior to joining the team, Kartik led design for diverse products at the intersection of technology and innovation for clients such as Express Scripts Canada, Enbridge Inc. and Government of Alberta. He holds a Bachelors in Computer Science from University of Delhi and a post-graduate diploma in Digital Design from National Institute of Design (India).

When he is not pushing pixels, you can find him admiring heritage buildings, and exploring the local vegetarian food scene.

Amy Kaing

Amy joined Petrotranz in 2022 as a member of the Customer Experience Team, having graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree majoring in Marketing. Amy enjoys creating meaningful relationships with others and will endeavour to provide an outstanding experience to the customers and users of Petrotranz. She focuses on ways to make an impact with her work and to provide the best customer experience with empathy in mind. As she approaches her role with determination and enthusiasm, she intends to work hard on building her knowledge of the oil and gas industry.

While not at work, Amy spends her free time with family and friends. She has a passion for food and can be found venturing for new spots to try!

Ramil Lopez

Ramil Lopez joined the Petrotranz team in August of 2021. He has over 15 years of experience that specialize in systems analysis and support functions at an enterprise level. Managing the process of software lifecycle and hardware deployments. He is an industry asset with a key understanding of DevOps and with a unique aptitude for efficiency to grow service innovation and delivery prerogatives.

Ramil enjoys spending his time with his family, cooking, and travelling. He loves to golf and always looks at ways to improve his handicap.

Jaeyoung Kim

...

Jaeyoung joined the Petrotranz team in September of 2021 as a Software Engineer. He has over 6 years of IT industry experience. He likes to view himself as self-motivated, cooperative, well-organized, and a dedicated team player. Solving a challenging problem fuels him. Using both sides of his brain can be challenging while trying to improve his creative and analytical skills.

Prior to joining the team, Jaeyoung built an e-commerce website for a client with his team members. He has excellent capabilities not only for back-end based Object Oriented Programming (OOP), but also for front-end such as React, TypeScript, Redux and CSS skills.

Jaeyoung has a Diploma of Software Development from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).

In his free time, Jaeyoung enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, and travelling.

Michael David Pascual

Michael joined Petrotranz in April of 2022 as a Software Engineer. He is always looking for ways to improve his work and is motivated by challenges that require him to research and learn new technologies. He is a quick learner and is always willing to put in the extra work to find the best solution to a problem.

Before joining Petrotranz, Michael worked as an Application Developer at a Fintech startup company that focuses on small businesses. There, he spearheaded the creation of a POS (point of sale) app from scratch that works across 4 platforms (Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS). He also integrated various hardware solutions like credit card readers/terminals, wireless portable printers, and barcode readers.

In 2018, he graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Computer Science with a concentration in Information Security. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring different Asian delicacies and reverse engineering video games. He also likes to participate in discussions in game-related communities.

Nick Wiebe

Nicholas Wiebe joined Petrotranz in Spring of 2022 as a Software Engineer. Nick has 10 years of oil and gas industry experience as a Coiled Tubing Operator. In 2020, he decided to pursue a new career as a developer, and in 2021 he received a Diploma of Web Development from Lighthouse Labs. Through continuous self learning, Nick has consistently improved his skill set and abilities to a point which meet the requirements necessary to become a part of the Petrotranz team.

In his spare time, Nick likes to engage in a variety of different activities such as biking, hiking, and boxing. He loves being outdoors, exploring, and learning new things.
