Petrotranz announces PAS (CGI) Crude Oil Splits Export
CALGARY, AB, Canada (September 11th, 2015) - Petrotranz Inc. is pleased to announce the completion and release of the Petrotranz crude oil shipper split export from within CGI’s PAS Production Accounting system. This is the third such Production Accounting platform to offer a new streamlined process leveraging the Petrotranz Data Exchange ("PDX").
Petrotranz worked closely with CGI to ensure the completion of this solution and it is now available in any PAS release of 14.1 and greater. The export will follow a clear and clean cut process within PAS which will result in a Petrotranz formatted Crude Oil Shipper (Pipeline) Split file that also contains the working interest owner (WIO) level details for each Shipper. This new file can then be imported directly into the Petrotranz Platform through our enhanced Splits import tool. PDX is the first transformational system for the energy industry that allows disparate systems to communicate with each other and the first system that provides a common language and secure hub for transacting information between all energy stakeholders.
"Petrotranz is excited to have a Petrotranz specific Splits export developed directly into CGI’s PAS system," says Dallas Smith, Vice President of Operations, Petrotranz Inc. "The efficiency gains that Production Accountants using PAS and the Petrotranz splits export to PDX is crucial to helping our users complete their tasks without manual intervention. We can validate due to the adoption that this is a top priority for the western Canadian energy industry short and long term."
All risk associated with data re-entry for crude oil shipper and working interest owner splits is mitigated, improving the accuracy of information and the speed at which information is available to all stakeholders. This functionality has been available to CGI PAS customers since early 2015.
